I was fortunate enough to have gotten into Berklee School of Music's 5-week intensive for the summer of 2018.  It was during my last Music Theory class there that I had a sort of musical "epiphany."  A melody popped into my head.  I couldn't take out my phone to record it, nor could I leave the classroom... but I did happen to have score paper right in front of me.  I ended up scribbling down the melody and lyrics to the chorus of "Wannabes," which you can see me deciding the title of at the top of the page.  This sort of melody is no longer complex enough for me, but for a show about high school, it's fitting to hold onto some of 15 year old Al's musical tendencies.
